Series Description  Inward and outward correspondence of the Aborigines Protection Board.

These records contain correspondence between Bishop Gibney and the Aborigines Protection Board (1891 - 1892) pertaining to Beagle Bay Mission, as well as correspondence between Bishop Gibney and the Governor relating to the work of the Aborigines Protection Board (1892) which includes a report on the New Norcia Mission.

Also included is a report from Bishop Riley to the Governor (1886) giving his views on the treatment of Aboriginal people following a visit to the North-West, in which he also discusses the impending abolition of the Board.
