Series Description  The Defence Act 1903 - 41 and Ammended Act, 1963 is a Commonwealth Act under the Westminister System, with parts 4 & 5 referring to Conscientious Objectors. Such a person applied to their Local District Court for Exemption from Military Service. Should the applicant be denied they are then able to appeal before the Supreme Court of the State in which they reside. Files typically contain the following: . Notice of Appeal from the Decision of a Court of Summary Jurisdiction. . Order of the Court . Evidence Statement from Court of Summary Jurisdiction . The Schedule . Correspondence .
