Series Description  This series consists of housing plans produced by architectural staff of the Workers Homes Board/State Housing Commission and transferred to the State Records Office between 1986 & 1988.

The numerical coding of individual plans was imposed by the State Housing Commission to facilitate retrieval after microfilming. The code is used to denote items in the listings (i.e. Year/Building type/Building details/Number within year. e.g. 42/012714 = single house, purpose built, drawing no. 14 of 1942). Each consignment in this series reflects differences in building details:

Consignment 4963 = Standard drawings used for the construction of individual houses;

Consignment 4964 = McNess Trust houses;

Consignment 4965 = One-off housing drawings;

Consignment 4966 = Reconstructed group cottages; and

Consignment 5017 = Goldfields cottages.
