Series Description  Records kept by the Superintendent of the Convict Establishment/Fremantle Prison. The volumes record discharges and transfers of prisoners, orders relating to officers (promotions, resignations, reprimands etc) and the orders are initialled by (presumably) the Superintendent. Some volumes include an index in which the names of officers, prisoners, depots or other institutions concerned in the orders are listed. Cons 4190/1 includes copies of letters and memos written by the Superintendent between 7.1.1871 and 1.2.1871. Cons 4326 contains orders sent from the Superintendent to the officer in charge of the Cookhouse 1952 - 1966.
